Klotilda Harka: From the seductive killer in Albanian action films, we see actress Emi Canaj as the silent killer of love in Vin Veli’s music video titled “Miles Away.” In an interview with “Panorama Plus,” she reveals her longstanding friendship with the renowned DJ, a strong and flirtatious woman full of fantasy who brought her passion for guns and ambition to touch Hollywood to his project.

Dressed in a black lace dress, you appear very seductive in Vin Veli’s music video. How did you become part of a music project?

Projects like this, where acting merges with the sounds of music, are rare to see in Albania. This was a dual proposal, both from the well-known DJ and my longtime friend, Vin Veli, as well as from my video production company, E Production, with D.O.P Erald Duka, who made the realization of ideas and work for this music video possible, both mine and Vin’s.

Your portrayal catches the eye, where it seems you dream of someone who is no longer there. What is the true symbolism of the story?

My interpretation in this video revolves around a powerful yet flirtatious woman who exists in her own world, far removed from reality. Always listening to the sounds of this song, she distances herself by kilometers so that nobody understands the world she inhabits—laughing, playful, sad, free-spirited, and full of fantasy. That’s why the video is in black and white, which prevents you from entering this girl’s world but rather observing and understanding it from the outside. This detail makes it even more intriguing when you watch it.

Would you truly sacrifice everything for love, going crazy over it?

In our reality today, it’s a bit challenging, but for true love, I would do it and risk everything. That’s why it’s called eternal love, both unstoppable. (Laughs) How did you meet DJ Vin Veli, and how did you react to his proposal to bring his music to life and act by immersing yourself in his musical state? With the renowned DJ and my friend, Vin Veli, we have had a friendship since we were young. Always listening to his fantastic work and mesmerizing sounds, adapted into pantomime (a part of acting), we decided to collaborate not only for the Albanian market but also for international audiences. The aim of these videos and music is beyond Albania, as expressed in the song’s title, “Miles Away.”

So far, you are known for roles in screenplays involving action and murder, such as “Balkan Blood” or “Pit Stop Mafia.” Do guns, fire, and blood frighten you?

I have always expressed that one of my passions is guns. In movies, it’s effortless and fearless to use them since they are maneuverable weapons. But to be honest, the use of guns and action scenes in the current Albanian reality scares me.

Outside of cinema, would you prefer a romantic lover or a gangster in real life?

(Laughs) Interesting question… I would say that every gangster has a very romantic side within them, waiting to be discovered. But a romantic can never become a gangster.

Are you a typical blonde, or does your type not conform to the cliché stereotypes of blondes?

I have experimented with all hair colors, but I settled on being a blonde because I feel it suits me better. It’s beautiful when people judge you based on your hair color, and in reality, you are a completely different character. It’s a surprise for those who get to know you; they don’t leave afterward.

Do you consider yourself a femme fatale, capable of reducing men to their knees?

Every woman is
