Specialized in action and murder scenes, model Emi Canaj stars as the protagonist in the fourth film titled “Balkan Blood”. Her first film was titled “Pit Stop Mafia”, chosen by the renowned director Fatmir Koçi. In this interview for “Panorama Plus,” the former model reveals her life as an actress in gun-filled movies where she always plays the role of a deadly assassin.

After completing an acting course in Italy, you played in “Pit Stop Mafia” with director Fatmir Koçi. As an intelligent and intuitive director, what stood out about you?

Director Fatmir Koçi showcased all the skills I studied. In a simple casting among many actors, he noticed my seriousness and a smile within my eyes. At that moment, he presented the role to me, and I truly found myself. Later, he further tailored the role to fit my character, a sweet woman with power, both charming and a leader.

Now you’re part of the filming for the new movie “Balkan Blood.” How do you feel portraying a killer?

In the film “Balkan Blood,” I play the role of Tarantula, a cold-blooded assassin of the major boss, who carries out every order without fear of anyone or anything. Tarantula’s character is that of a 25-year-old girl, boss of a gang, sister to a mysterious character named Charles, but with different parents. She has a perfect, trained, charming, ruthless, and intimidating body. This character seems very interesting and full of surprises to me. A beautiful, seductive, and dangerous girl who knows how to handle weapons.

What dangerous situations do you face in the film’s scenes?

The cold-bloodedness is the main trait of my character. The fights among gangsters make the character more interesting, with many dangerous scenes and ruthless killings. So, “Poisonous Tarantula” is always hungry for violence and always attacks the people who oppose or fail to fulfill their obligations in the city.

In the cast, we see likable guys dominated by a girl like you. Do you have a connection with any of them in the film’s script, and can you reveal more?

All the guys in the cast are likable, but I am a powerful woman who, with her ruthlessness, wins over many gangsters. Whether I have a connection or not, that will be seen in the film.

It seems you fit well in action and mafia films. What about in real life? Are you someone who enjoys danger?

That’s true. I specialize in this genre (action and adventure), and in real life, I enjoy a life with adrenaline and not monotonous. Every day, for me, is different and exciting.

From the role of a leader, your career followed with other characters in the series “Real Detective” as Mia, then in “No Turning Back” as the Police Chief, and the fourth film we are discussing, “Balkan Blood.” Would a role where you showcase the seductiveness of a woman be appropriate?

I mentioned earlier that the character of Tarantula is a very seductive, attractive, and charming woman, but she cannot display her sensuality because she is a “Poisonous Spider” who appears in moments when no one expects her.

Outside of the film industry, who is the love of your life?

My love is Roki, my Belgian Malinois dog. My love life is “single” as I am fully dedicated to my work and career in the film industry, and it’s challenging for someone to win me over because I am truly extremely cold-blooded and financially independent.

As a strong and beautiful girl, how can you remain 100% feminine?

Family upbringing is the key to everything.
